The idea for Onebrief came from firsthand experience. Before starting the company, Grant spent years planning military operations and saw how difficult it was for teams to stay aligned as plans evolved. Planning often meant coordinating across disconnected tools, static documents, and multiple teams—all while decisions continued to change.
After leaving the Army, he set out to build the kind of planning software he wished he’d had.
