At Onebrief, we’re a team of builders, strategists, and patriots working at the intersection of technology and national security.
Our mission is to revolutionize outdated processes and make every military staff incredibly smart, fast, and efficient — equipping the U.S. and its allies with a decisive advantage.
That’s no small task. So, we built a culture that matches the mission: high trust, high intensity, and deeply committed to truth and excellence.
We’re a fully remote organization - and believe it makes us a more powerful, digital-first organization. We bring together incredible professionals without the constraints of time zones or personal circumstances.
Being digital-first doesn’t stop us from finding the value in meeting, ideating, and bonding in person. We prioritize employee engagement across all our teams. Each October every Onebrief-er comes together for a week. In between, we focus on team meetups of all sizes.

We’re here to achieve the whole mission. A great team can overcome or circumvent almost any obstacle. Be more relentless than anyone else; there is no such thing as too intense for our team.
Build an accurate mental model of any situation you’re faced with. We foster a high-trust environment and uphold a sincere commitment to the truth. We admire people who change their mind in light of new evidence.
We believe in solving any challenge from first principles - reducing a problem to foundational truths, then rebuilding a solution from the ground up.
On users: Take the time to really know the members of a military staff. Understand how they work, how they think, and care what happens to them. User experience is one of our top priorities — but not #1. Military outcomes are #1. You must make tradeoffs.
On adversaries: The only good outcome is “we win, they lose.” However — we want safety and security for the people living in states averse to the US.
On the industry: There is strong competition within defense tech. Be stoic about the state of the industry and incentives.
Give your teammates context and shared understanding so they can make fast, independent decisions. Be direct in your internal communications. Mean exactly what you say, with no subtext.
A few tasks create can almost all the value. Focus on what matters and ignore what doesn’t. Build a good intuition for costs and benefits.
Assume there’s more to our problems than is apparent on the surface. Dive deep and learn continuously.
